Working Families Party Releases Mayoral Ranking - Mamdani On Top

The Working Families Party (WFP) has officially released its long-awaited ranked ballot for the Democratic Primary, which is set to take place next month. Assemblymember Zohran Mamdani has secured the party's top endorsement.
Mamdani's first-place ranking is considered by many to be an unsurprising development. This view is supported by polling data suggesting he is the strongest candidate positioned to defeat Andrew Cuomo by the primary election on the 24th.
The WFP's full ranked slate is as follows:
- Zohran Mamdani
- Brad Lander
- Adrienne Adams
- Zellnor Myrie
- Jessica Ramos
Throughout the campaign, Mamdani has demonstrated stronger fundraising, better polling numbers, and a more developed campaign operation. However, with the inherent unpredictability of ranked-choice voting, supporters of Brad Lander believe their candidate also has a strong chance of emerging victorious.
It's worth noting that earlier this year, the WFP had endorsed four of these candidates—Mamdani, Lander, Adams, and Myrie (the first four individuals on the current slate). At that time, however, the party had not provided a ranking, and Jessica Ramos was not part of that initial group announcement.
