Kathy Hochul Calls Israel "The Child of Hope," Pleas for Return of Hostages

Governor Kathy Hochul delivered a passionate address at New York City's Israel Day parade on Sunday, making a prominent call for the return of all hostages.
In her speech, Hochul referenced former President John F. Kennedy, quoting his description of Israel as the "child of hope."
The Governor also spoke at length about the hostages taken during the October 7th attacks. She recalled her visit to Israel shortly after the attacks, where she met with the family of one hostage. During that visit, Hochul promised to do everything in her power to support the efforts for all hostages to be returned.
Reflecting on the ongoing crisis, she stated, "Never in the wildest dreams did I think that 589 days later there’d still be 60 hostages waiting to come home."
Governor Hochul concluded her remarks by emphatically repeating the call, "Bring them home," and pledged New York's continued and unwavering support for the people of Israel.
